Automod+

Automod+ brings automatic moderation to the next level by making the most of Discord’s native AutoMod and expanding upon it. With Automod+, you do not have to instantly action users for having a message filtered by AutoMod. Instead, you can let these filtered messages stack up and action only once a threshold has been reached within a certain time period. For example, a user’s message is blocked by AutoMod three times within one hour, they will receive a six hour timeout. Automod+ will also send a message logging their actions for potential manual review and action back-tracking.

Automod+ is fully customizable, from the message a user receives when they are timed out or banned all the way to the amount of infractions and time needed for the bot to action a user. But that’s not all! With Automod+ Premium, you get an unlimited amount of counters that work seamlessly with Discord’s AutoMod!

Setup

The setup of Automod+ is handled through two commands.

/settings edit

1. alerts-channel: The channel in which Automod+ will log its actions.
2. ban-delete-messages-time: How much of a user’s history is deleted upon their automatic ban.
3. message-mute-temp-header: Content that is shown above the mute reasoning in the DM sent to a user when they are automatically timed out. This value is not necessary for the bot to function correctly.
4. message-mute-temp-footer: Content that is shown below the mute reasoning in the DM sent to a user when they are automatically timed out. This value is not necessary for the bot to function correctly.
5. message-mute-temp-header: Content that is shown above the ban reasoning in the DM sent to a user when they are automatically banned. This value is not necessary for the bot to function correctly.
6. message-mute-temp-footer: Content that is shown below the ban reasoning in the DM sent to a user when they are automatically banned. This value is not necessary for the bot to function correctly.

/counter edit

1. automod-rule-id: ID of the AutoMod rule that Automod+ should action upon
2. trigger-amount: How many infractions are needed for Automod+ to take actions
3. decay: How much time is needed for an infraction to be disregarded and for the infraction count to be reset to zero
4. reason: Reason that given in the DM sent to a user when they are automatically timed out or banned
5. action: Choose whether the user should be automatically timed out or banned when their infractions reach the threshold
6. action-duration: Amount of hours the automatic mute will last. This value is not needed for bans.
